What is RushMail and how does it work?

RushMail is CreditRefresh's mailing partner: instead of printing and mailing a dispute letter yourself, you can choose "Mail partner" and RushMail prints and mails that letter for you for a small per-letter fee. Printing and mailing letters yourself stays available at no extra cost and never requires uploading any documents. When RushMail mails a bureau letter for you, it needs identity documents on file (ID front and back and proof of address) to attach to that letter, since bureaus require proof of identity; those documents are never attached to creditor letters. You can also earn free RushMail letters through the referral program: 5 free letters per friend who subscribes, applied automatically the next time you check out with RushMail.

What RushMail is

RushMail is CreditRefresh's mailing partner. It is a separate print-and-mail service that CreditRefresh connects to your dispute letters, not something CreditRefresh does in-house. Every letter you generate can be handled one of two ways: you print and mail it yourself ("Self" delivery), or RushMail prints and mails it for you ("Mail partner" delivery).

How to use it

On a letter, choosing "Mail partner" instead of "Self" hands that letter to RushMail. Once RushMail has mailed it, the Letter library shows that letter's status as "In delivery" with a Date sent recorded, instead of "Not sent" with a blank date. This is decided per letter, so you can mix delivery methods within the same round: some letters you mail yourself, others through RushMail.

What it costs

Using RushMail costs a small per-letter fee, charged when you check out for the letters you are sending through them. This fee is separate from your CreditRefresh subscription and only applies to the letters you choose to send through Mail partner; letters you handle yourself never carry a fee and need no uploads at all.

Documents RushMail needs for bureau letters

Bureaus require proof of identity, so when RushMail mails a bureau letter for you, it attaches identity documents from your account: ID (front), ID (back), and proof of address. An SSN card is optional. These documents are never attached to creditor letters. You can upload them from Settings, from the Documents page, or by using Upload from your phone to scan them in with your phone's camera.

Free RushMail letters from referrals

Referring a friend who subscribes earns you 5 free RushMail letters. Those credits apply automatically the next time you check out with RushMail: fully covered letters skip payment, and if the credits only cover part of an order, you pay only for the uncovered letters. See "How does the CreditRefresh referral program work?" for details.

Where RushMail shows up in the app

RushMail appears in a few places. On the Letter library, look for Delivery method: Mail partner and Letter status: In delivery to see which letters RushMail is handling. On the Refer a friend page, RushMail is named directly as the partner that prints and mails your referral reward letters. The identity documents RushMail needs for bureau letters live under Settings and the Documents page, alongside the rest of your account details.

How do my dispute letters get mailed?

After you approve a letter in the app, you choose how it gets mailed: print and mail it yourself, or have RushMail, the mailing partner, send it for a small per-letter fee. Mailing creates a dated paper trail for each dispute, and once the bureau receives the letter, its 30-day investigation window under FCRA Section 611 begins. The platform tracks that window for you.

How does the CreditRefresh referral program work?

CreditRefresh rewards you with 5 free RushMail letter credits every time a friend you refer subscribes, not just signs up. You share your personal referral link from the Refer a friend page in the app. Once your friend's subscription activates, the credits land in your account automatically and apply at checkout the next time you choose RushMail to mail a dispute round. If your credits only cover part of an order, you pay for the remaining letters.

Which documents does CreditRefresh ask for, and what happens to them?

CreditRefresh may ask for an ID front and back, an SSN card, proof of address, or an identity theft report, depending on your situation. You only need to upload any of these if you choose RushMail to mail a bureau dispute letter for you, since bureaus require proof of identity for mailed disputes. Printing and mailing your own letters requires no uploads at all. Anything you do upload is used only to verify your identity with the bureaus and is never sent with creditor letters.

Why does CreditRefresh ask me to verify my identity?

CreditRefresh verifies your identity because the credit bureau must confirm it is really you before sharing your report. You provide your Social Security number and date of birth, then answer security questions the bureau generates. Your SSN is encrypted and used only for verification. You can also upload identity documents, which are printed and mailed with your bureau dispute letters when RushMail mails them for you.
