How do I download, print, and mail my dispute letters myself?

To mail a letter yourself, open it from the round page or the Letter library, download the PDF, print it, and mail it to the address on the letter. Choosing this "Self" delivery method means CreditRefresh does not mail anything on your behalf, so the letter stays marked "Not sent" until you put it in the mail. Once you have mailed it, the round page's bureau timeline tracks the delivery window and response due date for you. If you would rather not print and mail letters yourself, RushMail, CreditRefresh's mailing partner, can send a letter for a small per-letter fee instead.

Where to find your letters

Every letter you generate lives in two places. On the round page for a specific dispute round, the Letters section lists each letter with its recipient, its dispute type tag, a status badge ("DRAFT" or "SENT"), and Edit and PDF buttons. The Letter library shows every letter across all your disputes in one table, with columns for Date sent, Delivery method, Letter status, and Dispute status, plus Download letter PDF and View letter buttons on each row. Both views point to the same underlying letter, so you can start from whichever page you happen to be on.

Review the letter before you send it

  • Use Edit on the round page to open a letter and make changes before you download it.
  • Use View letter in the Letter library to read the full letter without downloading it first.
  • If something looks wrong on more than one letter, Regenerate letters on the round page rebuilds the whole set.

Download and print

When the letter is ready, use the PDF button on the round page or Download letter PDF in the Letter library. Both give you a print-ready PDF. The recipient's mailing address is already printed on the letter, so you do not need to look it up yourself. Print the letter, sign it if it has a signature line, and mail it to that address. If a round has several letters, you can download and print them one at a time or all at once, whichever is easier for you.

Mailing it yourself (Self delivery)

Letters you handle yourself use the "Self" delivery method. The letter status stays "Not sent" and Date sent stays blank until you actually put it in the mail, because CreditRefresh has no way to know it has been sent otherwise. Some customers choose certified mail with a return receipt so they have proof the bureau or creditor received it. That is an option if you want a paper trail, not a requirement. Once the letter is on its way, the round page's bureau timeline tracks the delivery window and the date the bureau's response is due.

After you drop it in the mail

CreditRefresh has no way to detect that a physical letter has actually reached a mailbox, so there is nothing further you need to update for that letter once it is sent. The bureau timeline on the round page keeps moving forward on the dates it already calculated (delivery window and response due), so you can check back there instead of tracking the mailing yourself.

Don't want to print and mail it yourself?

RushMail, CreditRefresh's mailing partner, can print and mail a letter for you for a small per-letter fee instead of handling it yourself. See "What is RushMail and how does it work?" for how that works.

Do I review dispute letters before they're sent?

Yes, always. Every dispute letter CreditRefresh drafts sits in your dashboard until you approve it. Nothing is mailed automatically. What documents should I include with a dispute?

Documents that prove your claim make a dispute harder to brush off: bank statements showing an on-time payment, a paid-in-full letter, a settlement agreement, or an FTC identity theft report. Under FCRA Section 611, the bureau must consider all relevant information you submit and forward it to the furnisher. Send copies, never originals.

What is RushMail and how does it work?

RushMail is CreditRefresh's mailing partner: instead of printing and mailing a dispute letter yourself, you can choose "Mail partner" and RushMail prints and mails that letter for you for a small per-letter fee. Printing and mailing letters yourself stays available at no extra cost and never requires uploading any documents. When RushMail mails a bureau letter for you, it needs identity documents on file (ID front and back and proof of address) to attach to that letter, since bureaus require proof of identity; those documents are never attached to creditor letters. You can also earn free RushMail letters through the referral program: 5 free letters per friend who subscribes, applied automatically the next time you check out with RushMail.
