Choose CreditRefresh if your credit reports hold real errors and you want to review, sign and send every dispute letter yourself, for a flat $49.99 a month with credit monitoring included and no contract. Choose Sky Blue Credit if you would rather pay a firm to act as your agent and handle the disputes for you.
A wrong late mark or an account that is not yours sits in your file until someone disputes it, and you have to decide who does that work. CreditRefresh is a dispute tool, not a mortgage lender’s “credit refresh,” and the two choices differ in who does the work.
Who should choose flat-price dispute software, and who should pay for a credit-repair service?
Pick flat-price software if your reports hold real errors and you want to review and sign every letter yourself. Pick a service if you want a firm to write and send them for you. CreditRefresh costs $49.99 a month through Refresh Monitoring, while Sky Blue Credit starts from $79 a month and its homepage tells new members to “leave the heavy lifting to us.”
We built CreditRefresh for the first group. Our AI reads reports pulled from all three bureaus through our monitoring partner. It flags items that look inaccurate, incomplete, unverifiable or too old to be legally reported, and drafts a ready-to-send FCRA letter for each one. You go from scan to letter to mailed dispute in three steps, with nothing to learn and no training session.
CreditRefresh
- Best for: people with real, disputable errors who want to run their own disputes.
- Choose it if: you want to review and sign each letter before anything is sent.
- Watch out for: the Refresh Monitoring subscription it comes with, postage or a RushMail per-letter fee, and a file with no real errors or an already-high score. We launched in 2026, so we are new and small.
Sky Blue Credit
- Best for: readers who want a firm to act as their agent.
- Choose it if: you want the firm to handle the disputes for you.
- Watch out for: a monthly price that starts from $79, as its homepage publishes it.
How much does Sky Blue Credit cost per month?
Sky Blue Credit’s homepage lists its price as from $79 a month and advertises “No Charge for 6 Days.” It says members can pause, resume and select their own billing date. CreditRefresh is $49.99 a month through Refresh Monitoring, with no setup fee and no per-dispute charge.
Who writes, signs and mails the letters at Sky Blue Credit?
Sky Blue Credit does the dispute work itself. Its how-it-works page says the process starts with an examination of your credit reports, that the firm contacts you to discuss its findings, and that it then begins “the dispute phase of our credit repair program.” Its homepage describes a “45-day dispute cycle,” and its pages do not say the member drafts or signs the letters. If you choose Sky Blue, the dispute work is the firm’s job.
Who should skip Sky Blue Credit?
Skip Sky Blue Credit if you want to see, sign and send each letter yourself, because its pages describe the firm doing the dispute work. Skip it too if the monthly price decides it: Sky Blue starts from $79 a month, and CreditRefresh is $49.99.
What dispute tools and credit-repair firms cost and which bureaus they reach
CreditRefresh costs $49.99 a month through Refresh Monitoring and reaches all three bureaus. The decision is flat-price software you control or a monthly firm, and the table shows what each price buys.

Why use CreditRefresh when you want to mail your own dispute letters?
Mailing stays in your hands. You mail each round yourself, or you pay a small per-letter fee and RushMail, our affiliated mailing partner, prints and mails it. Beyond $49.99 a month, the only cost is postage if you mail it yourself, or that optional fee if RushMail does. CreditRefresh comes with Refresh Monitoring, with no setup fee, no per-dispute charge and no contract, and you cancel anytime.
Passive monitoring apps such as Credit Karma tell you what is wrong but do not act on disputes for you; Credit Karma offers Direct Dispute with TransUnion only. We draft letters for all three bureaus. Jean L. gave us five stars on Trustpilot on August 24, 2026: “The response time to my questions were very rapid and filled with complete/specific detailed instructions”
Our 100% money-back guarantee is a refund promise with conditions. If you complete the full program and none of your bureau scores ends up higher than where it began, you can claim a refund of every Refresh Monitoring payment; RushMail’s per-letter fees are not part of the refund. Eligibility depends on the guarantee’s conditions, which are set out at creditrefresh.ai/guarantee.
Skip the paperwork. Start your dispute.
CreditRefresh drafts your FCRA dispute letter and tracks the 30-day investigation window. You review, approve, and send. You stay in control.
Get StartedResults vary and are not guaranteed. The bureaus decide dispute outcomes, CreditRefresh is not a law firm, and our letters are not legal advice.
You review every letter. You sign every letter. Nothing goes out without your approval.
Questions about CreditRefresh, Sky Blue Credit and paying for credit repair
Does CreditRefresh dispute with all three credit bureaus?
Yes, we draft FCRA dispute letters for Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, which you mail yourself or send through RushMail. We pull reports from all three bureaus, scan them for errors and FCRA violations, and cite the specific issue and statutory basis in each letter.
Does CreditRefresh have a setup fee or a contract?
No. The $49.99 monthly price of Refresh Monitoring includes CreditRefresh, and there is no setup fee, per-dispute charge or contract. The only optional cost is the RushMail per-letter fee when RushMail mails a round for you. To cancel, open Settings, choose Billing and subscription and select Cancel plan. Cancellation stops the next renewal and keeps your access through the period you already paid for.
Can any credit-repair company legally guarantee a higher credit score?
No. The Credit Repair Organizations Act (1996) bars credit-repair companies from making untrue or misleading statements, and dispute outcomes are decided by the credit bureaus and the companies that report to them.
Can you dispute credit report errors yourself for free?
Yes. Doing it yourself costs only postage. A bureau that receives your dispute must conduct a reasonable reinvestigation and, in general, complete it within 30 days (Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 611). You can also dispute directly with the company that furnished the item, which must investigate and report the results (Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 623).
What kinds of credit report items can a dispute letter challenge?
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (1970), you may dispute any item that is inaccurate, incomplete or unverifiable. Federal law also limits age: a credit report may not include bankruptcy cases more than 10 years old, or paid tax liens (counted from the date of payment), accounts placed for collection and other adverse items more than seven years old (Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 605). Our scan flags wrong balances, misreported late payments, duplicates and accounts that are not yours, across all three bureaus, so you can review each one before a letter goes out.
CreditRefresh drafts a dispute letter for each item that looks inaccurate, incomplete, unverifiable or too old to report, and you review, sign and send every one. Backed by a 100% money-back guarantee.
