What happens after I sign up for CreditRefresh?

After signup you connect your credit profile, and CreditRefresh pulls your reports from all three bureaus as soft inquiries. The AI then runs its first scan, checking every line item for inaccuracies and FCRA violations. Anything disputable shows up as a drafted letter to review. Nothing mails until you approve it, and after that the platform tracks each bureau's 30-day response window.

Step 1: Connect your credit profile

The first thing the platform asks you to do is connect your credit reports. You verify your identity once, and CreditRefresh pulls your files from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion through a regulated credit-data provider. The pulls are soft inquiries and do not affect your score.

Step 2: The first scan

Once your reports load, the AI reviews every line item against two questions. Is the information accurate and complete? And is it reported in a way that follows the Fair Credit Reporting Act? Account balances, payment history, dates, account status, personal information, and inquiries all get checked.

The AI does not invent issues. If an account is yours and the reporting is accurate, there is nothing to dispute and no letter gets drafted for it.

Step 3: Review what the AI found

Items the AI flags show up in your dashboard with the specific problem and the legal grounds for disputing it. For each one, the platform drafts a custom letter. Your job is to read each letter and decide whether to send it. Nothing is ever mailed without your approval.

Step 4: Letters go out and the clock starts

When you approve a letter, CreditRefresh mails it to the bureau reporting the item. Under FCRA Section 611, the bureau has 30 days to investigate and respond. The platform tracks each dispute's window and updates you when responses come in.

What to expect on timing

The first scan and drafted letters come quickly. The bureaus' responses do not. Each round of disputes runs on the 30-day federal investigation clock, plus mail time on both ends. Some items resolve in one round; others take a second round or an escalation like a Method of Verification request.

What is CreditRefresh and how does it work?

CreditRefresh is an app that uses AI to find errors and FCRA violations on your credit reports, then drafts custom dispute letters to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. It pulls your reports automatically, flags inaccurate balances, outdated items, and reporting that violates federal law, and tracks each bureau's 30-day response. You approve every letter before it's sent.

How long until I see results with CreditRefresh?

Setup takes minutes, and the AI can flag errors and draft letters the same day you connect your reports. Once a letter is sent, each bureau has 30 days under FCRA Section 611 to investigate, so first outcomes usually land within about a month. Some items resolve in one round, others take several, and some cannot be removed. No tool can promise a specific score change.

What can I actually dispute on my credit report?

You can dispute any item on your credit report that's inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable — including wrong balances, payments marked late incorrectly, accounts that aren't yours, items past the 7-year window, and reporting that violates the FCRA. You cannot dispute debts you legitimately owe and that are reported accurately. CreditRefresh won't generate letters without grounds.

What happens after CreditRefresh sends a dispute letter?

After CreditRefresh mails a dispute letter, the bureau receives it, contacts the data furnisher (the bank, lender, or collector that reported the item), and asks them to verify the disputed information. The bureau then deletes, modifies, or verifies the item based on what the furnisher reports back. The whole investigation has to be done within 30 days under FCRA Section 611.
